One of the arguments that critics of early childhood (preschool) programs tend to make is that children spend their day singing and dancing and playing and not really learning. Explain the importance songs, especially those with movements, and play have in early childhood learning and development. Then, consider how these songs and movements can lead to expanding a child’s knowledge (Piaget's Intuitive thought substage, for instance).
