CASP RCT Appraisal
The WISER study fully addressed its research question on reducing healthcare worker burnout. Participants were randomly selected, study groups were similar, all participants were treated equally, and the intervention effect was comprehensively reported (Profit et al., 2021).
Study Outcomes
WISER was effective in reducing emotional exhaustion and improving depressive symptoms and work-life integration at 1 and 6 months.
Ethical Considerations
Voluntary participation ensures research subjects can engage without coercion, withdraw at any time, and are not obligated to provide reasons for withdrawal (Bhandari, 2024).
