Background and PICOT
Sexual recidivism is influenced by sexual deviance markers, history of offending, and general criminality factors. The PICOT question asks whether CBT compared to other techniques reduces re-offending probability within 3 months.
Literature Synthesis
Eight studies demonstrated that CBT effectively reduces sexual recidivism by increasing sexual knowledge, victim empathy, reducing cognitive distortions, and preventing relapse (Harrison et al., 2020; Egenti et al., 2023).
Implementation Using Lewin's Theory
Lewin's three stages (unfreezing, moving, refreezing) guide implementation through cognitive restructuring, emotional management education, social skills improvement, and relapse prevention.
