Advocacy for Health Equity
Advanced registered nurses identify inequalities in communities, encourage targeted screenings, leverage technology for virtual care delivery, and serve all communities without bias to achieve health equity (Flaubert et al., 2021).
Barriers and Solutions
Interpersonal barriers (patient-nurse relationships) are mitigated by emphasizing information importance. Structural barriers (lack of organizational support) are addressed through management training on advocacy importance (Laari & Duma, 2023).
