Sample Answer
Patient safety and patient outcomes can be enhanced through lifelong learning and advanced nursing education. Lifelong learning among nurses enables them to be more informed on the most recent research and findings on the recent care provision. Nurses with special expertise and advanced degrees are able to make important decisions regarding care, deliver high-quality care services, and enhance the safety of the patients. Research has revealed that there is a relationship between the safety of the patients and advanced nurse education. Nurses who have advanced education are able to apply Evidence-Based Practice, evaluate even the most complicated patient circumstances, and handle ethical dilemmas and any stressful situations. Nurses who are more skilled make fewer prescription mistakes and this improves patient outcomes. The higher the education level the more efficient a nurse is in his or her operation (Mlambo et al., 2021). For example, a nurse who has a DNP or a Ph.D. degree has a better understanding of disease treatment and management and this enables them to create more efficient care plans. Nurses who are educated are able to quickly assess the vital signs of the patients and how they react to life-threatening diseases.
How can the application of the Christian Worldview help improve patient outcomes?
Christian worldview improves patient outcomes by encouraging the provision of highly ethical and holistic care. The viewpoint emphasizes more on virtues such as modesty, dignity, and compassion as well as an individual's intrinsic worth. Incorporation of the Christian worldview in nursing practice urges healthcare professionals to appeal to the patient's psychological, spiritual, and emotional needs other than medical problems (Steele & Monroe, 2020). Nurses provide patient-centered care by helping the patients establish therapeutic connections and participate in the entire care delivery process. Professional development, lifelong learning, and a Christian worldview are essential in delivering high-quality care that advances the health of the patients.
