Influence on Practice Changes
Higher evidence levels indicate greater scientific validity for introducing changes. Evidence levels help assess benefits and risks and prioritize which changes to implement first (Chen & Chi, 2023).
Systematic Reviews
Systematic reviews are the most reliable evidence level, asking specific questions, conducting comprehensive reviews, eliminating poor studies, and making evidence-based recommendations. Noetel et al. (2024) demonstrated that exercise shows moderate effects on depression, with jogging, walking, yoga, dancing, and strength training being most effective.
