Mixed methods combines detailed qualitative insights with externally valid quantitative data, offers research design flexibility, and enables hypothesis testing and theory generation in one study (Wasti et al., 2022; George, 2023).
Disadvantages
High workload, costly interdisciplinary collaboration, and potentially conflicting results that complicate interpretation.
