Sample Answer
Explain the role of the nurse leaders in implementing innovative care models.
Nurse leaders are the major implementers of innovative care models through their leadership, change management, training education, and collaboration. As implementers of innovative care models, nurse leaders are visionary leaders who predict the future of healthcare and determine how the models can be integrated into healthcare. They set direction and inspire change among other members of the organization. Implementation of innovative care models requires changes in culture, technology, and processes (Handzel, 2021). Nurse leaders manage changes in healthcare by integrating them smoothly into the organization. It is the responsibility of the nurse leaders to train and educate other staff members on innovative care models. The education involves explaining the benefits of the models and their functioning. Additionally, nurse leaders work collaboratively with other stakeholders such as the administrators and other members of care delivery in implementing innovative care models (Handzel, 2021). In doing so, they ensure that all stakeholders support the integration of the innovative care models.
Explain how innovative modes of care affect collaboration between advanced registered nurses and other stakeholders in the industry.
Innovative care models affect how Advanced Registered Nurses (ARNs) collaborate with other stakeholders through interdisciplinary teamwork, data sharing, and shared decision-making. A lot of innovative care models such as integrated care, patient-centered medical homes, and telehealth care require healthcare providers to work together (Gordon et al., 2020). ARNs act as coordinators of healthcare teams as they work closely with pharmacists, social workers, doctors, and other members of the interdisciplinary team in care delivery. Innovative care models emphasize on the importance of shared decision-making in making key decisions in care. Nurse leaders ensure that all the healthcare providers and patients are involved in decision-making. The innovative care models rely on sharing data between healthcare providers and nurses to ensure that data is collected and shared accurately. Additionally, for the innovative care models to be successful support from the health administrators is required and patients should be involved in making care decisions.
