Barriers to EBP Implementation
Time constraints prevent nurses from seeking reliable research, caused by staff shortages, excess caseloads, and lack of organizational resources. Insufficient expertise creates knowledge gaps limiting nurses' ability to seek and apply EBP in practice (Alqahtani et al., 2022; Pitsillidou et al., 2021).
Addressing the Barriers
Time constraints can be resolved through task delegation and providing EBP guidelines. Expertise gaps are addressed through student nurse training, ongoing education sessions, and conference attendance for networking and EBP learning.
